Dr. Murangi

Dr Heroldt Vekaama Murangi currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL).  He is a teacher by profession and also worked in different areas in the Ministry of Education after Namibia’s Independence in 1990. He served as an Inspector for continuing and distance education in the Department of Adult and Continuing Education in the country’s various political regions.

He joined NAMCOL in 1997 and served the institution in various capacities, first as Regional Manager and later as Deputy Director before appointed as Chief Executive Officer in 2007.  Dr Murangi completed his Higher Education Diploma and B.Ed. Honours at the University of Namibia and M.Ed. in Adult Education at the University of Massachusetts, USA.  Dr Murangi is a graduate from the University of Pretoria, SA with PhD in Education Management, Law and Policy. The focus area for his PhD was on “Managing student transition from conventional to open schooling: a case of Namibia”. His interests and experience include the development of policies in disciplines of human resources, open schooling, open distance eLearning  (ODeL) and strategic plans.  Over the years, Dr. Murangi has been a key factor in initiating partnership agreements with some national, regional and international bodies, especially in the area of Open Distance eLearning.

Dr Murangi was instrumental in the transformation of NAMCOL as a reputable institution of choice to many Namibians who could not access teaching and learning through the traditional brick and mortar institutions. Dr Murangi published articles and contributed to book chapters in the area of ODeL with particular emphasis on open schooling, student transition to different education levels, costing and financing of Open Distance Learning (ODL). Dr Murangi conducted consultancies on the area of ODL in Rwanda and Islamic Republic of the Gambia on the establishment of open schools in these countries. Dr Murangi served as an Executive Member of the Distance Education Association of Southern Africa (DEASA) Board and is currently serving on the Board of the Namibian Open Learning Network Trust (NOLNet) as well as on the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) Training and Development Board.

Mr Luxolo Rubushe (MBA)
Managing Director: Adapt IT Education

Luxolo, a seasoned executive with over twenty three years’ work experience, fourteen of which have been senior executive positions in both private and public sectors. Luxolo is currently a Managing Director of Education at Adapt IT. 

Luxolo is a senior business and information technology executive with extensive experience in South Africa, the SADC region and East and West Africa. Portfolio, Programme, and project management, corporate strategy, organization growth and effectiveness, shareholder value analysis, customer relationship management, and business process management are all areas in which he excels.

Earlier in his career, he played an integral role in advancing what is now called Coega Strategic Solutions for the Coega Development Corporation in the Eastern Cape Province as an Executive Manager. This comes after over a decade as a Senior Manager with Accenture Consulting, where he led many critical strategic projects for some of the country's largest firms in the mining, petroleum, and energy industries.

He became the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Eastern Cape Development Corporation in 2011 and oversaw important provincial projects. Luxolo became the Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Authority in 2012 and was responsible for the organization's entire operations. Between 2014 and 2015, he was the COO of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme.

For the past seven years, he has served as the Managing Director of Adapt IT Education. Luxolo is in charge of putting the division's strategy into action to grow and develop the organisation to be an R3 billion rand business across Africa, Europe, and the Asia Pacific.

TIFFANY DUNSDON CA(SA) 
Chief Executive Officer

Tiffany is a Deloitte-trained Chartered Accountant who is registered in South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. As a consultant for British Airways in the United Kingdom, where she first entered the ICT sector, she was involved in several important business re-engineering and IT outsourcing initiatives.

Tiffany started as a consultant with InfoWave Holdings in 2000 and was promoted to Financial Director in April 2002 and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in December 2003.

After the merger of InfoWave Holdings and Adapt IT (Pty) Ltd in 2007, Tiffany became the Commercial Director of Adapt IT Holdings Limited. She is based in Perth, Australia, and is also the Managing Director of many worldwide operations. Tiffany was named Interim CEO of Adapt IT Holdings Limited in May 2021, then she was named CEO permanently in September 2021.

Neil Sukran (MBA)
Executive Manager: Technology and Innovation

 

Neil has over three decades of information technology (IT) expertise in a variety of areas, including education, gaming, banking, and the mining sector.

Most notably in 1997, Neil started his 20-year career at Derivco, the largest turnkey online gaming provider in the world. After working his way up through various portfolios, in 2016 he accepted a promotion to Group Head for IT.

His multi-dimensional role afforded him the chance to work with and manage teams in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. In Neil’s own words, he gathered experience both from successes and failures which allow him to craft a well-rounded approach to innovation and design, to be followed through in the implementation process, whilst remaining strongly grounded in solid customer engagement, quality assurance, and support.

In 2017, Neil became a Director of Business Intelligence and Innovation at MMM Technologies primarily focusing on AI/ML applications for mining safety systems. In 2020, he accepted a position as the Business Transformation Manager at Betting Entertainment Technologies, where he stayed for seven months until joining Adapt IT Education as the Executive Manager for Technology and Innovation in September 2020.

Starting in 2021, Neil launched a big year for Adapt IT Development.  He initiated a transformation process focusing on operational excellence, process transformation, technology adoption, and most importantly innovation.  His team is currently working on the implementation of the ITS Integrator 5.0, a game-changer in student management systems.

 

Sam SHIVUTE is the founding Commissioner of the Namibia Revenue Agency. He Joined the Namibia Revenue Agency on the 28th of September 2020. Before joining NamRA, he worked for the central bank (Bank of Namibia) for 18 years. He also served in the Namibian Police as a detective for 8 years. Whilst working in the Namibian Police, between 20 May 2000 to 20 May 2002, was seconded to UNTAET mission in East Timor where he served as Deputy Chief of the Office of Professional Standards, Audit & Evaluation.
Sam SHIVUTE obtained several qualifications. A national diploma in Police Science from the Polytechnic of Namibia (now renamed the Namibian University of Science and Technology), he is a law graduate from the University of Namibia and a Master of Law in International finance and banking law at the University of Liverpool. Sam SHIVUTE is also an accredited transformational coach, trained by Animas Centre of Coaching in the UK. Is the owner of the #BeUNLIMITED Brand.
